We’ve all heard the news. Melbourne’s Metro Rail Authority is allowing us to come up with names for the five new train stations currently being built in the city.
And, the one and only George R.R. Martin has also given his opinion on what the names should be.
Just recently on his blog, Martin posted:
The idea of a Melbourne Metro Station named Winterfell tickles my fancy… though, having been to Australia numerous times, I will assert that winter never really does come down there.
He also goes on to suggest another name for a train station, with more of an Aussie theme – after the great singer Slim Dusty. Martin suggests the station could be called The Stop With No Beer.
